About the EU\u2013India Agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the ATIPIC community, we talk often about growth.<br>Not about slogans, but about&nbsp;<strong>concrete steps<\/strong>, favorable contexts, and decisions that show over years, not in posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That's why, for me, the European Union's trade agreements aren't political news, but&nbsp;<strong>economic tools<\/strong>. And the new&nbsp;<strong>EU-India Free Trade Agreement<\/strong>&nbsp;is one of those tools that can change real trajectories for Romanian brands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A clear example:&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cotnari.ro\/\">Cotnari<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why India matters more than it seems<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Until recently, EU exports to India represented approximately&nbsp;<strong>0.6% of total European exports<\/strong>. Not because European products weren't wanted, but because access was limited by extremely high tariffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the case of European wine, tariffs reached&nbsp;<strong>150%<\/strong>.<br>A level that turned any discussion about the Indian market into a theoretical exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the new trade agreement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>wine tariffs drop to\u00a0<strong>20%<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in other categories they even reach\u00a0<strong>zero<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and the market becomes, for the first time,\u00a0<strong>realistically accessible<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We're talking about&nbsp;<strong>1.45 billion consumers<\/strong>.<br>Not as an abstraction, but as concrete economic potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What this means for Cotnari<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cotnari isn't an \"opportunity\" brand.<br>It's a brand of&nbsp;<strong>continuity<\/strong>, of tradition, of long-term building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a stable European context:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the identity of Romanian wine gains\u00a0<strong>international visibility<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>quality standards become an advantage, not a burden,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and the story of post-phylloxera wine, anchored in terroir and history, can be told in markets it previously had no access to.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The EU-India Agreement doesn't promise overnight sales.<br>It promises&nbsp;<strong>the fair chance to compete.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Community, leadership, and growth together<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In ATIPIC, we talk a lot about the fact that&nbsp;<strong>no one grows alone.<\/strong>.<br>Not the entrepreneurs, not the brands, not the communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The presence of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/atipic.ong\/en\/atipic-meet-14-cand-sala-este-plina-energia-creste-2\/\"><strong>Victor Deleanu<\/strong>&nbsp;alongside the ATIPIC community is, for me, exactly about that:<\/a>C is, for me, exactly about that: about&nbsp;<strong>people who understand that healthy development happens together<\/strong>, with openness, dialogue, and long-term vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cotnari, ATIPIC, the local entrepreneurial community, and the European context aren't separate elements. They're parts of the same ecosystem that's starting to function&nbsp;<strong>maturely.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Real Question<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I often hear the question:<br>\"Why do we need the EU?\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The answer isn't ideological. It's practical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How could Romania have negotiated an agreement like this with India alone?<br>How could a Romanian producer have obtained tariff cuts from 150% to 20%, without the strength of a common market?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For regional brands that want to play the long game, the answer is clear:<br><strong>Europe isn't a limitation.
